Well I bought a new driver as I didn't hit my R5 as well as I would like. I went from a 10.5* R5 with stiff ProLaunch Blue to a 9.5 Sasquatch with stiff shaft. I wanted to lower my ball flight a little, that's why I went to a lower loft. Now my launch angle is close to 10* compared to 16* for my old driver. I hit this driver straight buy want to raise my launch angle to around 14*. Heard a lot of good things about the V2. How do these two shafts compare? Any other shaft recommendations? SS is between 100-104 mph.
^^ how much did you get yours for man?, i spent like 250 for a diamana for my SQ three wood, love the flight
0 dollars and 0 cents.......haha....I'm a rep man!! but I got some for people who work for courses and such, and I got the driver with the diamana shaft installed for 230 total, and the fairway wood with the shaft already in it for like 170 or something like that
UST V2 is going to be the softest with a very fluid feel when swinging. It will offer not only a higher flight but more spin. This is going to definitely change the characteristics of your club since the insertion depth is right at 1.5" with a BBGM on the SQ coming out to alittle over 1.5 as well.
The VS Proto 60 is going to be alittle more stable and give you a higher flight with a fluid feel but its going to offer a slightly quicker return for less spin then the UST V2. I would say its the slightly stiffer version but offering the same playing characteristics.
The Axis is a different animal as its stronger with less spin and weighted alot more. This will give you a lower flight then what you are currently playing.
