Long Putter re-shafting

My dad got himself a Pro Platinum Cameron 44" belly putter, but he doesnt putt that way. Is it possible to get it cut down to 35", or even possible to have the putter reshafted?, I think so myself but i need some advice

could but you'll probably find there are different head weights between a belly putter and a std length one. Shouldn't matter though as long as he likes a heavier putter

i would say, yeah, cut it down first and see how he likes it and leave re-shafting as a second option. there may be a difference in the shaft diameter after being cut, but a extra couple of pieces of tape should take care of that.

Belly putter and long putters require a different angle shaft be used so simple cutting it down usually won't work. To get the head to lie flat you'll need the correct shaft angle to change the way it normally lies.

the best bet is to take it to Golf Galaxy with your dad and let them set it up for him as you said.
