Putter Grip install question

I just received a new Gripmaster putter grip - tan leather, mid-size pistol. It looks and feels great out of the box, and is going to replace the stock grip on my Yes, Callie. I've probably regripped over 100 clubs in the past, but only a few leather slip-ons years ago.

My question is - I don't want to affect the gripmaster logo, so do I need to be extra careful with the solvent? Pat Dry after installation, vs. wipe the grip dry, or just let it sit and "dry" itself?

I'm a little worried about this grip install due to the price of the grip, and plan on using a substantial amount of solvent to make the "slip on" quick and easy.

thanks in advance for any info.

I should have checked before posting, since I found the answer in the Master grip website - Installation instructions. I think I will let it "air dry."

STEP 6
Pour the remaining solvent out of the grip and over the grip tape. Make sure it is wet and don't forget to use extra solvent!

Be careful of the logo - it is Gold Leaf and the solvent can easily remove it!

I would rubberband some plastic wrap around the logo (seal it off).

great idea, thanks for the comment. I was thinking of masking tape, but plastic is much better.
