Cutting down junior clubs

I bought some junior clubs some time ago for my 8-year old son. Now my daughter wanted to start hitting some balls also, but since even my son has to grip down a lot, my daughter can't hold the clubs as they are right now. So I decided to cut them down.
Can I use plain double-sided tape and do I need to cover all of the shaft where the grip will be? Can I use Whitespirit to slide the grip back on?

yes,you can use plain double sided tape, or even masking tape. you don't need to cover the whole grip area, but i may be necessary to double the layers, depending on how much shaft is cut off. you can use whitespirits to install the tape, also a light soap and water mix works well too.
