I just finished building the rest of my irons today and I am now completely switched over from forged blades to forged cavity backs.
My old setup was Snake Eyes 600B's all the way from the 3-iron through the wedges. I love those clubs, but earlier this season - on a whim, I decided to build a new 3, 4, 5-iron using Snake Eyes 600C's, just to see what they felt like.
Well, the 600C's hit like butter just like the "B's", but they seem to "throw" themselves at the ball even better and there is no discernable loss of feel either. The weighting is great and they swing really easy.
So I decided to build the rest of the set and I just finished the 6, 7, 8, 9, and PW.
I set up my lofts based on a 20 deg. 3-iron and I step up at 3.5 deg. intervals right through the PW, which is now at 45.5 deg. I then jump to 51 deg. for the gap and 56 for the sand wedge, (which is still a Snake Eyes 653 TM).
I also have my 3, 4,and 5-irons set at 3/4-inch over standard length, (39 1/2-inch 3-iron), which is something I've done for years, even going back to older sets, and I go back to 1/2" over standard from the 6-iron down with the 6-iron at 37 1/2-inches.
Lastly, I dropped the "progressive swingweights" I was experimenting with last year and I set all my clubs to D-5, (based on the "stock" swingweight of my new Nike SQ). The exception to this are the PW, the 51 deg. and the 56 deg. wedges. They go up one swingweight for each wedge ending at D-8, (I like the feel of a heavier wedge).
So now all I need is some decent weather to get these clubs out to the range and see how they feel. I have a feeling that I'm going to like them very much.
Anyway, just thought I'd post this on an otherwise boring Saturday evening and now I can't wait for the season to start again.

I was thinking about getting the Snake Eyes 600B 3-PW and a 56/60 Snake Eyes 600W. How do they hit, feel, and how easy is it to work them. Are they as good as OEM clubs?
Well, as I've said before, I was in the market for a new set of irons and I was moments away from buying a set of Mizuno MP-33's until I saw these.
I hit a Snake Eyes demo right alongside a Mizuno demo and for me it was no question. I ordered the heads, the shafts, the grips, the whole nine right there and I was totally satisfied with them once I built them.
They are differently a players' cavity back and they are sweet. I just finished my winter project as well. Snake Eyes 600c's mated with Rifle 6.0. They are progressively swingweighted D2 - D5, MOI matched. There are a handful of other beautiful forged components, but these top the list IMO. Now if we convince the other 98% of the golfers that not all components are clones, case in point, I'd be a happy man. BTW, for those interested in these, golfsmith has a bi-annual friends and family sale where all clubheads are either 40% or 50% off (depending which sale you hit -- winter or summer). I bought mine during the winter with 40% off, or.. $18/head.
would you call these a "BETTER" players club or clubs that are useful for all levels?
i ask because i know i can work the ball around, but my set doesn't allow me to. I have nike slingshots.... ok, but i want something with playability.
i checked them out online and i am thinking about getting 5 iron to 9 iron and a 3 and 4 nickent hybrid clubs. i already have a 48*, so why buy the 47*.
I would say that these cb's are for better ball strikers. Smallish blade, not much offset, soles on the thin side. GS does offer the 600xc's that are a more game improvement forged cb.
