I had a skymark so bad on my driver it was awful and I was able to fix it to the point where you can't see it anymore........... I bought automotive touch up paint at Pep Boys and painted over the skymark. Then I used a blak and decker mouse (It's like a palm sander) with a foam attachment and buffed the entire head with polishing compound.

Another good choice would be to look at having the head Custom Coated. I know a guy that Custom Coats Golf heads for a living and does a great job. His website is www.golfincolors.com and you can check out some of his nice work from there.

I also suggest that new golfers try using liquid glass (thick car polish) on there heads to protect them from the sky marks. If you put on 4 coats you will find that it can protect the head from virtually any mark and it makes the driver look better.

Now these are options that I would go for...I second that about the car wax...I just have layers of an El Cheapo car wax on my woods, and skymarks wipe off...like to say that I don't get them anymore, but a guy has to try swinging out of his shoes every now and then...

My brother-in-law used a black sharpie, so I guess if that's good enough for you...

I used the black touch up paint from my car. It has blended in rather well.

I just got back from golfsmith and the club fitter scratched my MacTec NVG2 Driver!! Not ball-turf scratches but a nasty deep one on the botton.. And unfortunatly the whole bottom of the NVG2 is all light metal colored(I don't think the botton of the NVG2 is even painted).. I don't think any type of coverup could help this :(
