Mens undersize grips hard to find

I need grips that are 1/64 smaller than standard, but I cant believe how hard it is find them. The're either classed as womens and are pink /purple, or the're all ribbed.

Golf pride and lamkin make 1 or 2 models each in undersize round, but more expensive models with names like ''the softie'', not the tour velvet or crossline. Winn also make some but I dont like winn grips.

I know Ping make some .600 core, round undersize, so I'll have to find some of these somewhere.

Just wanted to rant really, does anyone else have this problem?

p.s - On a .600 shaft, a .580 core grip -1/32 size with one layer of tape would = -1/64?

same as a .600 core grip -1/32 size with 2 layers of tape?

would both of these be correct?

Actually no. On a .600 shaft, a .580 core grip is going to be about .020" oversize. 2 layers of tape on a .600 grip is going to be roughly .012" oversize.

As for finding one that's .030" undersize, you may consider getting a grip that is made with a .620" core and putting it on you .600 shafts. I've seen them, but I can't remember who had them. Golfsmith maybe?

You can do as Iowof83 said and you can also get the same size grip and pull it longer and tape it in place until the solvent dries. This will give you a smaller grip sze.

If you stretch the grip an extra 3/4" down the shaft, you will have a grip that is 1/64 undersize. You will have to tape the grip in place until the solvent dries as was stated above.

Is that starting off with an undersize grip though?

It works but also it wears out sooner than normal installation.

Re: Mens undersize grips hard to find

All my grips have been stretched down. It's what my pro recommended and the grips feel a lot better.

You know what they say - If you have small grips, you have small gloves.

Re: Mens undersize grips hard to find

I prefer a small grip and I ran into this problem a couple of years ago and it is frustrating the lack of options that are available, even today. All manufacturers talk about the importance of the proper size grip yet don't provide many options. The only one I found with several small size options is PING. Here are their under size color codes. Not all PING grip styles are available in all these color codes but it is better than nothing. Some of these color codes are also available in a .610 or .600 core size as well.

Aqua -1/64"
Red -1/32"
Blue -3/64"
