Re: Engraving initials into golf clubs

thats pretty cool that Ping would do that. I emailed Callaway though and they said they don't do that sort of thing. I'll try to post a picture in the next few weeks.

Actually, I don't care. If samsquanch wants to engrave his irons, that's up to him.
As for "sticky fingers," if someone wants to steal your clubs, he's going to do it no matter what. From what I understood, one his friends wouldn't be paying attention, and would wind up with one of his irons in their bag.
I personally don't want to be out playing golf one day, and have one of my playing partners say something like, "Hey, who the is Sam Squanch?" As you said though, I'm sure someone would buy them anyway.

Re: Engraving initials into golf clubs

couldn't you get you name put on the grip? You could get stamps with each of your names put on them, get some really good ink, and just stamp the back of the grip.

You'd have to find the right ink, but you wouldn't be doing anything to the shaft or the head

Re: Engraving initials into golf clubs

I change my grips 3-4 times a year, so I would have to go through that process of putting my name on the grips every 3 months. Engraving on tthe clubhead in very small lettering will not affect anthing, maybe a gram of weight, and will be there forever. My clubs are a D3 swingweight so they could be a little lighter anyway

What about the ferrule? You could get some of that thin lead tape, punch your name into it and wrap it around just above the ferrule.

Just thinking aloud.
