Shaft replacement on 5 wood

I had a shaft replaced on my 5 wood (Callaway Steelhead Plus) by a reputable golf retailer. After getting the club, it appears to me that the club face is closed slightly as opposed to a neutral bias originally. I took it to the range and what used ot be a nice draw is now a hook. Is this possible? When a shaft is replaced is there some kind of alignment tool that is used to make sure the head is on the shaft properly? Or am I just hallucinating? Thanks for your help.

Re: Shaft replacement on 5 wood

I like shafting beads when I shaft up a clubhead. I can't prove they work, but I've never had a problem with shaft alignment, even when the hosel seems a bit loose.
Yes, it is possible to get the shaft slightly out of line if the hosel is on the loose side, or if someone gets a little "happy" with the shaft prep.
