Driver Tip Size question???

I know most shafts are either .335 or .350 and different heads are corresponding sizes....my question is if someone could put a .335 shaft in a .350 head with some sort of spacer??? is this commonly done...and if so what are the risks/quality issues???

Re: Driver Tip Size question???

Yep. Adapters from .335 shafts to .350 hosel bore get used every day in shops. Very common and when done right perfectly reliable.

Re: Driver Tip Size question???

As mentioned, this is no big deal. I've done it a few times myself. Mostly because the shaft I wanted to use wasn't available in a .350 diameter. The only advantage of a .350 shaft is that it might have a slightly lower torque value than the same shaft in a .355 diameter. Some do, some don't.
