There is a Golf Galaxy store in town that can do a fitting for me with the clubs I own. Will I be o.k. with them fitting me? Are there other places I should go, like a non-chain store for my fitting?
How much should I expect to pay?

You can check out some clubfitters, ranges in your area or golf courses. Those fittings will take place outdoors using launch monitors, actually seeing your ball flight, along with a testing a variety of shafts and clubheads. Depends on the place, some don't charge anything if you buy the clubs from them, others may charge a fee with a discount if you do purchase clubs from them. You can call and ask around. I would highly recommend an outdoor fitting so you can see ball flight.

He's most likely a member of the PCS (proclubmakerssociety) which has a link on their website showing locations of all their members. I wanted to give you the link to the locator but it seems their site is having some issues as I was unable to navigate it. Anyone with PCS by their name will be reputable and will be adept in the fitting process.
