Re: Howto Make Clubs

You can probably make them faster, but the clubs I've made take about a day and a half. I cut the shafts, rough the end that goes in the hosel and epoxy the head to the shaft. The next day, I tape the grip end and apply the grip. Then clean the heck out of it and throw the shaft label on. Grips only take a few minutes to dry. I allow 24 hours for the epoxy to set, even if the container says it would take less time to cure. I always use WD40 as grip solvent and generally use 3M double sided masking-style tape.

Re: Howto Make Clubs

It's real easy to assemble a club from components. I'd recommend you take the free 1/2 day class at Golfsmith. You'll learn all you need to know to assemble a club, and get to build a free club you get to keep. Well worth the time for the class. Contact Golfsmith and get signed up and have fun.
