I got my Nike Sumo2 5900 today and went to the range. It is a nice club and I practiced for 30mins... When i came home and cleaning my club, I found this small dent nearby where shaft meets the club head(bottom). If you have nike driver, you know where S/N is located? it's right there. I was wondering if nike would fix/replace this problem. Anyone know?? If Nike can't do anything about it, what should i do? It seems like it's not affecting way i hit the ball but I just got this!!! Please help guys,
yeah, but you took it out and the store could claim that you chunked the ball on the heel. but I agree the store would be the first route to go and suggest you don't wait any longer.
Thanks guys... i actually got this off ebay for cheaper price... I wasn't sure if they would fix/replace it.. I did hear that major companies like Nike would take care of this... NikeRep 07, i was trying to send you a private message but you box was full. once again, thanks!!!
This is caused by having an aggressive angle on the ball (usually when your head and weight is already infront) and your wrists haven't unloaded. If the Heel of the head is hit on the right spot it will create a dent right below the hosel. It's largely know as "Drop Kicking" and can happen to any club! You will see it on demo's all the time and it usually doesn't effect the play of the club.
thank you solid rock... you are exactly right. And all my friends told me it wouldn't effect the club. Some of them who's been playing for long time, hit the ball with my club and they didn't notice any difference. But i did invested lots of money and it is a brand new. I just wanted some advice from golf rewind to see all my options... Than you so much for all your help guys... I'll update you guys if anything happens.
