I am under the impression that Rile shafts sold on ebay that come without shaft bands are Rifle 2nd shafts.
Is this correct?
An individual on ebay is offering standard Rile shafts without shaft bands. I believe they are Rille blanks which he cuts to the desired flex.
Your thoughts and opinions please.
Thanks,
Gary
assuming your talking about the project x shafts....they should have a laser etching on the butt end indicating what flex they are. i dont think that there are blanks you can cut to a desired length but i could certainly be wrong. on a side note, i've had 3 or 4 sets of PX shafts and the first thing i did with all of them was take off the shaft bands so it could just be a guy like me who just doesn't like the bands.
There is someone on eBay selling a "set" of 42" blanks. I've noticed it several times because the original stepless Rifle is one of my all-time favorite shafts.
I never ordered them because I just didn't really trust that the flex would be true, or that they were real Rifles. I'd purchased a sand wedge on eBay that was advertised as having the Rifle shaft, and it turned out to have a stepless Apollo shaft instead. I'm not ready to get stuck with a bunch of iron shafts that aren't exactly what I want.
Their are many styles of stepless shafts out there and they can be had at very low prices.... so if he can't offer the bands with the Rifles then it sounds like a rip off.
2 good 2 be true in the world of Golf usually means a fake or a bad deal. You did right by coming on here and asking the question. I would always consult with the internet knowledge golfers first.
