Oil Can Finish Guidance

I've been reading a couple of other threads where people have attempted to give their clubs a custom oil can finish but I am really not understanding how. Can someone who has given their club a decent homemade oil can finish please provide some detailed guidance? How do you prep the club? What do you use for a heat source? What type of oil? How long does it stay in the oil? How many times do you heat the club? Etc... Etc...

Thanks!
Dave

Re: Oil Can Finish Guidance

Other than for aesthetic reasons, is there any advantage to giving your clubs an oil can finish?

Nope, it is all just about looking down and seeing that oil shine. I have an old Scotty Cameron Newport that I am wanting to clean up without sending it back to Titleist
