Shafts for 845's irons

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows what size shafts to put in my old 845s's?

Are they tapered? What diameter? .355 or .370...

Any help would be great!!!!

Thanks

I don't know if it's still there, but Golfsmith had a guide for shaft replacement that you could download in Acrobat format on their website. I'd try there first.

I have reshafted a couple sets of those irons at my shop. They are .370 Parallel.

Have the shaft pulled from the 3 iron if you don't hit if often, and have it measured with a micrometer. That will tell the tale for certain. Personally, I'm inclined to go with the Golfsmith .355" taper unless your irons have graphite shafts in them. If they do have graphite shafts, they may well be .370".

If you're going to order shafts, I assume you intend to do the job yourself. In that case, just pull the shafts and see what you have. That's pretty easy and it solves the problem.

Don't you just love it when you get 2 differnent answers?
One post says 370 parrellel
One post says 355 tapered
And that's why I say MEASURE THE SHAFT
It solves all these kind of problems.

Re: Shafts for 845's irons

The older 845's are tapered .355 tips. There are several newer models in the market and they are parallel tip .370...
