I'm going to be re-griping my irons soon, and seen the new Lamkin/Michelin grips on Golfsmith. Has anybody heard about these grips before, I've never seen them until today? They arn't much more than crosslines, which is what I was considering getting.
I have had poor experiences with Lamkin...in my experience they glaze over quicker than the golf pride tour velvets and lose their grip...I know nothing about the new ones, but would try them on a club or two just because you never know; they might be the next big thing...
Got new Wishon 969 iron and I had them gripped with the new Winn PCI 1/2 cord mid size grips. I was using the Golf Pride wraps prior to these. Liked them so much that I swapped the reaming clubs in my bag to the Winn mid size.
I haven't seen the new Lambkin grips, but I've got the Crossline grips on a set of irons, and they have been real good for well over 2 years. I also have a set of Lambkin G3 grips on a set of clubs, and again find them long lasting and quite good.
If you use rubber grips, hit them with this after every round (or two): Golfsmith Grip Restore
It will keep your grips soft and tacky until you've actually worn the rubber on your grips down. I use the stuff on all my grips (including Winn) and my grips are now lasting 2-3 seasons. A bottle of this stuff will last you all season -- I use just a few drops on a microfiber sponge to go over my whole set of iron grips. A couple minutes later they are dry and feel like brand new grips.
I also use the stuff to clean a new grip after re-gripping. It takes all the loose rubber and mold release off the grips and makes them very soft and tacky.

I'm betting my season is a little different than your season (more rounds, no cold weather) , but am going to try your suggestion...
I don't like the Winn's because of the seam in the back. I'm gonna take the Winn off my 3Wodd sometime I'll try it on there and see what I think. Most my irons now have GP reverse wraps that have been on there at least 4 years+. So anything would be better.

Probably true, our season here is really only about 9 months long but we do have about 4-5 months of hot and humid nasty weather. To put it another way, the Grip Restore has made my rubber grips last about 2-3 times longer than normal. I looked all over for several years to try and find a grip cleaner that really worked. Soap and water sucks because almost all soap (dish soap especially) has moisturizers in it that lubricate the grips (lanolin is a typical moisturizer in dish soap). The soaps and solvents that don't have any moisturizers tend to be heavy duty and break down the rubber and make it harder over time.
The real enemy of rubber grips (and why they get hard and slick) is is the oils and acids from the surface of your skin. The Grip Restore removes that very effectively but doesn't seem to break down the rubber. Since I started cleaning my grips after every round I've found they are lasting a lot, lot longer and staying soft and pliable.
I use a cleaner called "Goo Gone," and water with a sponge about once a month to clean my grips. It pulls all the oil and sweat back out of the grips, and leaves them nice and tacky. Since I started using it, I'm working on my 4th year with the same grips. I don't wear a glove, so this is really important to me. 4 years in the GA heat (and mild winters) should tell you how well it works.
I think that that Golfsmith stuff is probably really similar to tire cleaner. I use Westley's Bleche-White cleaner on my grips one a month or so if I'm playing a lot. Tires are rubber, grips are rubber -- so... I think that my grips feel like new after using it.
