I'm not sure about fixing it, but I do think that to get the best advice, we need more information from you. Where on the face, and how big of a chip are the first two questions that came to mind for me. If you uploaded a picture, that'd be even better.
It's important to know the magnitude of this because the advice ranges from "that's so small, it's negligible" to "that's so huge, you probably just need to get a new one" and without knowing dimensions or seeing pictures, it could be anywhere in between.
