Wrist to floor measurement?

How do you measure it? Where the wrist meets your forearm or in the middle of your palm/ closer to the fingers where the club normally would be gripped?

I thought my clubs where to long but now Im all confused. With 37-38 inches to the floor (measuring from where the wrist meets the forearm) I should have a 38,5 inch five iron which I have..

Re: Wrist to floor measurement?

You measure to where the wrist bends, not to where you grip the club.

I admit it: I was fishing for a compliment on my recent $300.- manicure! I couldn't believe my luck when this topic came up: Thank you all for making my day!

300 bucks for manicure, wow, really women are from Venus. After 2 weeks, the color will chip off, the nail will grow. But indeed nice hands.

Re: Wrist to floor measurement?

Wrist to floor measurement is just a guideline and a starting point. If your clubs feel to long for you than this definitely supercedes any static measurement you can take. Comfort and player ability are the true ways to fit clublength.

Re: Wrist to floor measurement?

It could also mean you are bending over too far, causing your clubs to appear to be too long. Try standing up taller, and see if you play better or not. Worth a try at least.

Yes I am bending over quite a bit and I don`t like the feel. I have been tought this way by my local pro.

We checked the lie angle yesterday on a lie board and I hit it +2 degrees on the toe.

That should cause a push right?

Re: Wrist to floor measurement?

If the toe is low at setup, the loft of the club would mean the face is angled a bit to the right, and cause you the hit the ball a little right. I hope I explained that clearly enough to make it understandable. If not, yell at me and I'll try again.

Re: Wrist to floor measurement?

I should hit a push but I pull it . Im sure it happens because I try to compensate for the slicing and has nothing to do with the toe down hit.
