Take it to a authorized Callaway dealer and have them check it out.

Okay, make that a TaylorMade authorized dealer. I guess in reality, most authorized TaylorMade dealers will be authorized Callaway dealers and vice versa, so, in a sense, what I said was close to being right.

Wow, I can honestly say I've never seen that. Just call up TM Customer Service and see what they say. Maybe you got a tour castoff?

I doubt that it's a Tour R5. They are extremely rare. Check the serial number though. If it begins with a number it's a retail. If it begins with T and it could be tour (although I've heard some R5 tours begin with X).

Good to see that someone else is knowledgeable about tour equipment

I did post a bit quickly, because the Tour R5s have TP on the toe, because TM hasn't put out a TP R5.

Nice work on correcting me

I think a quick (not full proof) way to check is just by looking at the driver at address. If it's completely square then it's not a retail R5. Every R5 I've ever seen is closed. Also the head looks a little shallower than I remember R5's to be. Almost looks like a fairway wood from the angles. Also TOUR R5 should have .335 hosels for the most part.

i just talked to a TM rep and they said i should just take it into an authorized dealer and its up to the dealer to set something up with TM to get it worked out...she also said that she's heard of it turning yellow before...which makes me believe that when i first got it it wasnt yellow...i asked her if this was common and she said no...but she did say that it didnt affect its performance at all...i got my driver from an Ebay power seller so im not sure what i should do...i mean..i just got this driver not too long ago and honestly i dont mind the yellow that much at all...what do you guys think i should do??

That insert looks like plastic while a normal insert is metallic. I don't think it turned color and composition all of sudden. I would contact the seller and ask him why it's different from other R5's.

I think the Callaway dealer might laugh at you if you did this......seeing that the r5 is TaylorMade club!

Well I've heard so much about how great Callaway customer service is - this would be a good test.
