I have hit one before. It is a low torque shaft for a fast swinger. I did not like it that much because I had to swing harder to get it to load right. If you have a quick tempo you may like it.

right now my driver has a graffaloy blue pro-launch xstiff and my 3 wood has the aldila nv 65 that it came with- bought it used. I like both of these shafts. the pro at my golf shop told me that pro's swing fast but it doesn't look like it, where as i swing fast and it does. lol

i've got one in my driver & i love it. it's a little heavier, 83gr or so, than most but is just beautiful for control & distance. at first i didn't feel like it was loading properly but my swing has gotten alot stronger in the last couple of months & i have it flexing real good now. my tempo is pretty relaxed btw. slow backswing, big rippin' downswing.

my swing is like that as well, relaxed grip, smooth take-away and then fire through.

it is a really nice shaft. much better than any other i can recall ever hitting. it took a good week to get used to, but now i'm long & accurate.
if you've got a good tempo, i'd really reccomend trying one out. as long as you know where your swing is going & what it's doing, then it shouldn't be a problem.
know what your ss is approx. the s flex is pretty stiff. i think you can still get these shafts in 580xd's from 3balls.com for pretty cheap. i paid 170 usd for mine, & that was a bargain.
