Looking for advice on these irons.

I've been thinking instead of buying new irons to put a little attention into these.
http://www.titleist.com/historical_c...ails.asp?id=56

I am playing them now only because I hate my cavity back generic irons I've been playing. I'm thinking of having them overhauled. New shafts, new grips, maybe get them refinished and regrooved.

What's your guys suggestions? I got my set a few years ago off of ebay for 100 bucks. I can strike them fairly well. I'm thinking of going with the Project X shafts. Any advise folks?

My generic irons have Apollo shafts. I'd never really heard of them before, but I was reading that a few well known pro's use them. What's everyone's advise on pulling the Apollo shafts and putting them into the Titleist irons?

They are dead sexy...but mine don't look that nice. Even though they aren't forged..I know when I hit a horrible shot. They give great feedback.

For cast clubs those are NICE. If you want to get them looking like they do in that picture you should go to http://www.golfworks.com/item_disp.asp?pn=IREFINISHING.

That's what I was looking at doing, but I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with GolfWorks.com.

I have used Golfworks on a number of occassions. They do really good work for a fair price. If you want to step up to top quality in iron refinishing, check out www.theironfactory.com they do the best work but are a bit more expensive then Golfworks. Good luck! Those are beautiful clubs.
