That is interesting, Stag. I googled the topic and read some similar articles. Basically, everyone has an "ultimate" clubhead weight for their swing, which on average is 200 grams. Some may be a bit higher, some may be a bit lower, but it seems that even if you find your ultimate weight, you may only gain a few yards at best. He does mention that the use of a lighter shaft, coupled with a heavier clubhead can increase distance assuming the golfer can maintain their clubhead speed. But it seems to me that most golfers now are using shafts that are about as light as you can go with anyway, so thats not likely to occur.
Assuming most golfers won't be able to gain any significant distance by changing their driver head weight, the 2 most important factors, besides swing speed, seem to be: 1. launch angle 2. spin rate.
