Getting shaft pured?

Has anyone on the boards had their shafts pured? If so, would you say it made a large difference in the way the club played? Did you add yardage or accuracy? Im thinking about getting my driver done, but I don't really know anything about the price or results, it was just a suggestion I recieved from a local pro. Thanks

I don't know much about this but from what everyone tells me, you definitely want to get your shafts pured. Places around here usually charge $5 or $10 extra to get your shaft pured and I always pick up this option.

my driver shaft was pured. I never hit it before then, but I know I like the way it performs.

I had a shaft for my TM rescue club pured recently. It only cost $5.00 and I beileve that it made a definate difference in accuracy.

I used to shoot competitive archery and we would "spine" or "pure" arrows. I had never really thought about it for golf clubs until someone recently suggested it.
