I would like to go to Albakerky and Take that left that "Bugs" always said he should have taken and see where I would end up. Or maybe I retrace Jack Kerowac's roadtrip from "On the Road". Or Take a Ride Down Highway 61 Listening to Dylan, Elvis, Waters, and Robert Johnson. Or maybe Head to a small Island Off the coast of England Called Jersey and walk to the home of Harry Vardon and walk where he walked. Maybe go to Kitchener, Ontario and Pay respect to the Great Moe Norman who along with Ben Hogan were the only golfers to ever Own the Swing.
NikeKid's answer convinced me that New Zealand is the place to go, because if I'm on a golf vacation I want to play as much golf as I can and money is an object :).
Pebble beach because of the history it holds, plus a very beautiful course with its scenery.
2nd choice would be augusta national, I've watched the masters in round 3 in 1997 there, but to play it, would be magnificant.
Why? I won the PGA Tour's Fantasy Golf League last year and thought I was on my way to the Stadium Course, only to discover that because I live in England they wouldn't let me have my prize
I think I would like to go to St Andrews so I could experience the feeling of having the task of hitting out of one of the bunkers there, and maybe hitting a great shot out of it. If not just enjoy the fact that Im playing there and actually thinned a golf ball out of one of the bunker on one of the greatest courses on earth.
Only one answer here and that's Augusta. Peeble Beech would be a close second.
Why Augusta......well it's one of the most beautiful courses and it for me has a special association with the start of the golfing year here in the UK. It's shown on TV every year and each hole is burnt into my memory. Then there's the history and 'specialness' surrounding the Masters.
1. To play a pretty darn tough Tour standard golf course
2. To see all the safari animals, hippos, giraffes, elephants, lions etc.
3. The weather ain't bad there either!
