When not playing golf you will usually find me in vegetable garden pulling weeds or just talking to the plants. I just got my garden planted. My garden is 10,000 square feet with a 7 foot fence around it acct. where we live we have deer. In my garden I have 6 table grapes vines, 10 blueberry plants, a 40 foot row of asparagus, 2 avacado trees, two rows of strayberrys 30 feet each, 11 artichote plants and 7 fruits trees that are all permanent.
Last week I planted my summer garden of tomatoes, bell peppers, two types of green beans, cucumbers, okra, corn, and four different type of summer squash and peanuts. I will plant my pumpkins in the first of June so thay will be read by the first Oct.
Every thing is set up on a automatic watering system.

I'm a mental health counselor at an inner city alternative school for emotionally disturbed teens. I like to read books that will make me a more effective counselor.

When I'm not at school or playing golf, I like to go fishing with my buddies or help out at the local ACTS. If you don't know what ACTS is, it's pretty much the same thing as a Goodwill or Salvation Army place, but more christian. I used to have to go there for community service hours to get confirmed at my church and hated to go there, but after I went there more and more I started to really like it and the people that work there. I usually fish every Wednesday at around 4 and Saturday and Sunday after I play golf from about 5-7 (that's when most of the fish are biting in the lake I go to). Sometimes I'll go early Sunday morning (around 7:30 or 8) but I usually don't wake up in time. I work at ACTS whenever I can, no real set time or date. But usually about once or twice every couple of weeks.

I fish. Been doing it since I could walk. Mainly freshwater, once in a while saltwater. And I ice fish. My grandfather got my father into fishing and he got me hooked. Him and I go about every weekend rain, snow or shine. Its nice because I have fun while spending some father son time together. Its something I will do for the rest of my life, along with golf. Now that I am starting to golf every week my weekends are booked.

My other hobbies are paintball (about once a month, and 24 hour games every 3 months), gambling (about 3 times a year for a week long trip), wood working (this is really just to build a poker table to maintain hobby 2, and practical shooting (usually once a month, but gets scraped due to bad weather that last 3 months).

Basically reading (yes golf magazines & books !) and watching anything sport on the cable network. Time spent would equate to approximately 4 hours per day .

Skiing and Surfing. Although I haven't been able to ski as much since I moved back east. It basically used to be my life, so its killing me. I think I will end up moving back out west eventually, I've just been thinking a little more about my career lately :(

In the summer riding motorcycles: 1 hr round trip commute to work most days, the occasional evening ride with wife, and usually a 2 to 10 hour day trip with wife on weekends. I approx ride 5 to 20 hrs a week. In a good year I keep that up from mid April (getting close!!!) to late October.

In the winter it is usually a bit of onlin Hold'em. However Last years Online Gaming act really cramped my style, since I refuse to pay feees to fund an account.

I do Asian Martial Art called "Kendo" ( Way of the Sword ). I spend 2-3 hours for 1-2 days a week. Unlike Golf which relieveS my stress sometimes, Kendo relieveS my stress all the time.
If you're interested, take alook at the Wiki entry here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kendo

There are many similarities between Kendo and Golf, some of which involves left hand and the wrist cock..

Cheers!

hobby not golf

I like to paint paintings....sometimes spend 10 hours in a week, sometimes none. I have have painted portraits, still life, cats, and recently I tried what I call imaginative shapes. And I painted the big bang....

Also I did a painting of golfers teeing off on the 17th hole of a local course I used to play, which used to be like a second home.....
