This is how it works: I will be asking a question and you are to respond with an answer. Your answer will be your entry for the contest. Only one entry per person. (Entering more than once disqualifies you). Also, please do not post any other posts in the contest thread except for your one entry post. This weekly contest will run from Monday to Sunday each and every week.
In order to win, you must be at Golf Enthusiast level (30+ posts) or higher. If you are not currently at that level, you can still enter but you must have at least 30 posts by the end of the contest in order to win the prize.
The prize: A sleeve of personalized Golf Rewind Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf balls.
This contest ends on Sunday, May 13 at 11:00 PM Eastern time.
Here is the question:
What prized possession can you not live without and why?
Good luck, everyone!

I don't care about material things. There is nothing in the world I can't live without. However, I do have one item I am inordinately fond of. It's not my diamond ring (nuisance! I told him not to waste money on jewels). It's not my wedding ring (I don't need a trophy for catchin' me a good man!). It's an inexpensive silver ring he gave me on our 20th anniversary. It has Celtic spirals embossed all the way around and inside it is engraved "sioran" which is Scots Gaelic for "eternal". He said he loved me before he was born and he'll love me after he's died. We are like the spirals on the ring. No begining and no end. Intricately bound in love yet simple in our devotion. I'd have to call that ring my one earthly treasure.
Twin boys, see sig. My old dog Molson who passed away last September was a dude I was real fond of as well. Best dog I've had the pleasure of hanging out with . He was a boxer in case you were wondering.
The Prized possession That I can not live without is not yet within my grasp. It would be however a sleeve of personalized Golf Rewind Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf balls. I have struggled in vain oh these last 7 weeks to combine the correct mixture of sentamantality and Humour in a persuit to pass your test of character, that I might be worthy of these magical orbs. I can only hope that this honest plea, this confession of my very soul, will somehow penetrate your calasted reaction to my past entries.
i dont really have a possession that i have that i cant live without, but a possesion would be my moms car, see takes me to the golf course, basketball games, my friends house, without her car, id be either in mental asylum from being inside so much or have no life at all. Thanks to Parents!!! lol
Mine is clearly illiustrated in this picture, my newly built computer, my daughter and the STeelerS!!
I've got the same case.
Mine would be all my instruments because it is the main thing in my life. Especially my amp because I cry with joy everytime it shakes the earth. It's a Peavey XXX if anyone out there knows guitar stuff and cares

Do you play metal?
My dog would be my prized possession, if that counts. Although she's more family than possession. I don't know what I would do without her. She's just a mutt; beagle and terrier. She's the only person that I can come home to everyday that's always happy (and really loud). She was hit by a car about 2 years ago and thankfully just broke her leg and we nursed it back to health. She's a trooper.
No really any true prized possessions. But, I can think of 3 things.
1. Mechanical stopwatch that was my Dad's. He coached h.s. swimming back in the 60's and his team gave him the stopwatch with some engraving on the back of it.
2 A fight card from the 30's of my grandfather. He was a professional bare knuckles boxer ("Champion of the Plains") and a picture of him in a boxers stance is on the card.
3. A picture my Dad took of me and my other 2 brothers from a 3-day weekend we all spent together golfing and fishing.
My 3 girls...My 2 daughters and my wife. Life wouldn't be the same without them.
But since they're not really possessions, the one thing I possess that I wouldn't want to lose is my picture of my granny holding my oldest daughter when she was only 3 days old. My granny passed away a week later (her health was bad so it wasn't a surprise).
