After a one week hiatus, the Golf Rewind Weekly Contest is back in its 11th installment.
This is how it works: I will be asking a question and you are to respond with an answer. Your answer will be your entry for the contest. Only one entry per person. (Entering more than once disqualifies you). Also, please do not post any other posts in the contest thread except for your one entry post. This weekly contest will run from Monday to Sunday each and every week.
In order to win, you must be at Golf Enthusiast level (30+ posts) or higher. If you are not currently at that level, you can still enter but you must have at least 30 posts by the end of the contest in order to win the prize.
The prize: A sleeve of personalized Golf Rewind Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf balls.
This contest ends on Monday, June 11 at 6:00 AM Eastern time.
My goal this year on the golf course is to play as much as possible with my 8 year old son and spend some quality time together. I find golf a good way to teach him values such as honesty, respect, and patience.
My goal for this golf season is to be more patient, realizing that the good shots are there and that I will improve, along with practicing good course management.
If I do these things, my scores will improve and my HI will drop.
My goal for this season was to remove the slice from my game. I have been working hard on my swing, trying to correct this, maybe too many different things at once. I have gone back to ground zero, and starting working on 1 correction at a time.
To shoot at least one round of par or better. Next goal would be a score that is less than the course rating.
My current handicap is 5.4 and my lowest round this year is 75, back in April. I've also had two 76's this year. Shooting these scores early in the season has me feeling pretty good about "going low" this year. Last year, my low rounds were a 76 and 77.
My goal is to keep up with my best golf partner while he is getting lessons by practicing and practicing on my own. Our goals together are to each make varsity again this year and do well in the district tourney.
My goal is to be able to walk up to the tee box with my driver and be confident that my drive will be in the fairway (or at least in bounds).
My irons(long and short) are gradually becoming more consistent, and my chipping and putting is also gradually improving. But it's my inconsistent driving that has me frustrated. I can get up there and hit one 270 down the middle, then on the next hole, I'll hit a big slice that goes OB. If I can just consistently stay in play off the tee, I shouldn't see any more 100+ scores.
My primary goal this year is to take that **** grin off the face of the Marshall that says "Juniors shouldn't be able to play here" by crushing a drive onto the green on the first hole. It is a 325 yard par 4, but massively down hill and makable in one by the longer hitters I know. The man is a jackass and theres nothing I'd like to do more than stick it to him that teenagers belong on private courses.
