Idea for a game
Would we be able to start a fantasy-type game here?
Example (open to suggestion)... Each GR member would pick players from a roster that they would keep for the entire season. For each tourney, the GR member would accumulate points equivalent to the sum of the FedEx Cup points that their "team" earned for that week. If a GR member had PGA players that took the week off, they would receive no points for those players. Maybe pick 6 players whose WGR would add up to no less than 100... Like... Tiger Woods 1 Steve Stricker 4 Rory Sabbatini 10 Aaron Baddeley 18 Hunter Mahan 35 Camilo Villegas 58 Adds up to 126, so that team would be valid. I would offer to do much/most/all of the numerical work if this idea were deemed good. |

Okay. I'll start logging the GR member's rosters now. Roster changes must be made by 11:59 PM on the Wednesday (January 3rd) before the first day of the Mercedes-Benz Championship. After that, rosters are frozen for the season. The contest will run until the conclusion of the Tour Championship presented by Coca-Cola (September 16th).
I'll do my best to update the standings and post them here. |

Seems to me this game would be more interesting if we drop Tiger off the list! Agree?

Well, everybody is entitled to 6 players. Omitting Tiger would yield outcries and even suggestions of Tiger-hating or racism. Most people will take him, so the 5 other team members will be the key to success in this game.

If you want to play, send me a team of 6 PGA Tour players whose aggregate WGR equals or exceeds 100. Since the official WGR may vary slightly from now until January 3rd, as long as your roster's sum is 100+ at the time you submit it here, you're good to go.
