You can read the rules here but basically you pick players every week - 2 from Group A, 4 from Group B and 2 from Group C and then you start (pick) 1 player from Group A, 2 from Group B and 1 from Group C. The maximum number of starts for any player is 10 for the entire season. The prize is pretty cheesy this year folks - supporting member privileges and a banner...but one thing you can count on - the prize will be awarded.
Hope my delay didn't turn anyone off to the contest...Martini and ForeOnRoad have their own contests but this is GR's and it's all about the fun and braggin' rights...just like the real thing. So let's tee it up and have some fun, gang.
Hope my delay didn't turn anyone off to the contest
No, but your explanation did - I don't have the patience to choose each week. I like Martini's game better - I chose one team and that's it. Thanks for explaining though.
I'm in...it's strange playing in multiple leagues in fantasy golf because it's the same team...same score...many of the same people in the leagues. It would be much more fun if we could have separate teams like in fantasy football. I would like to try different things. Maybe they changed this from how it worked in previous years.
The link provided didn't work for automatically plugging in the league information. I joined from the fantasy golf home (join private league).
Personally, I'm not into it. However, I'll add to the prize to (hopefully) get more of you to join in. It's not the newest technology, however, I have one brand new 450cc Integra SOOOLONG II 9* beta-ti driver head I'll add in.
Sorry that the pix are foggy-looking. The camera was in the truck, so the lens fogged up when I took them. I'll post better ones later.
Last year, I was telecommuting part of the time and enjoyed watching the first couple of rounds on the Golf Channel and watching my players. I would watch it weekends some on network TV when I wasn't out myself. I also enjoyed listening to the XM radio show on PGATOUR.com and getting score updates on my phone. I'm hoping to be able to listen to the XM radio show at work this year...either with a portable player or via the web. I know that there is free web software that lets you listen to free XM stations, but I don't know if this would include the golf show. I'll check into it. PGATOUR.com gives you access to the radio show, but it's probably blocked at work. I could probably get around it, but the software sounds like it could be a good way to go.
