It really depends on how close you are to 90mph but if you can reach 100mph you should be looking at S-Flex shafts for the R5. If you are looking for a shaft in a deep bore or bore through then you need to look at possibly going with an R and tipping it Firm.

Just wanted to say thanks for all of the help with re-shafting my Cleveland Launcher 460. After talking with you about what I was looking for I'm glad I went with the Acculaunch 70 stiff. I've only hit it on the range for a couple of days but based on the results you definitely got everything right with it. I'm not having a problem with my shots ballooning up anymore and I still get as much carry and more distance with the roll, all with a lot more control then before. Yesterday I was hitting into about a 15 mph wind which with my old shafts would have cost me about 20-30 yards in distance because of the ball flight. Not anymore, the ball had a much more boring flight to it and I was still able to carry it out to about 240 and get some roll with it.

The next time I need some work done on my clubs I'll definitely be sending them your way and I've already recommended you to a couple of friends who are looking to get their stock shafts replaced. Thanks again

Can you reccomend a shaft upgrade for me as well? I have a Fujikura stok shaft in my driver now, think it's 70g and stiff flex. To answer your questions:

What is your driver swing speed? 95-100

Are you more aggressive or smooth swinger? somewhere in between I guess, I try to swing smooth but occasionaly get more aggressive

How far do you drive the ball (including roll)? 230-250 best ever was about 270

Do you get alittle, good, or alot of roll with your driver? very little

What is your tipical ball flight? (high to the right, medium center, low
left.....etc) typically high ballooning flight, slight fade

What is your bad shots with your driver tend to do? bad slice

What club do you hit from 150yrds out? an easy 7 iron

Thanks in advance for your help.

A few more questions to help me pin point the problem.

How far do you hit your 3 wood off the deck?

Does it have a typical High, Medium, or Low ball flight?

How far do you hit your 5 iron?

and last questions... Can you rate your driver shaft in terms of loose and stiff feeling to you during your swing with the stiffest you can get being 1 and the loosest (if thats a word) being 10?

3 Wood off the deck is an adventure for me, as I bought fairway woods that are offset, and it really makes them hard for me to hit, but a good 3w, 210-215 off the deck. Typically very high, but seems to have more of a penetrating ball flight than does my driver. the shaft is an Aldila nvs, the green one, regular flex.

5 iron typically 185-190

With 1 being the stiffest I would rate mine currently at around a 3 I would say. When I swing aggressively I can feel it flex a bit, when I swing smooth it feels more stable.

I know alot of my problem is still my swing which I am constantly working at, and believe me, it's come a long long way

Mostly I would like a shaft that will help me get a more boring flight with less ballooning.

Thanks

I would suggest going with....

AccuFLEX Icon V2 S-Flex

Aldila NV 75 S-Flex

Both will work for your swing but give you lower spin and launch. Let me know if you are interested in a reshaft and I would be glad to give you a price.

Forgot to add that the Grafalloy Blue might work out well for you also.

Thanks alot for all your help Christian. I want to try to reshaft the club myself, but, once I decide which shaft I want to buy, I will order it from you. Thanks again.
