Irons & New Putter

Hi,

I am looking for some descent irons, and a putter. I don't mind if used. I am looking to spend around 200-300 depending on qaulity.

Could you give me some options please?

Thanks

Got a few questions to help me better suggest a set that would be good for you.

What is your handicap?

What is your current driver distance with roll?

What iron do you hit from 150 yards?

What is your typical ball flight with your irons?

What does your bad iron shots do?

What irons are you currently playing?

What is your heigth with your irons?

Do you currently have Graphite or Steel shafts?

What would you choose to have more of with your irons, Distance or Accuracy?

Answer these the best of your ability and I will give you the irons that will best fit your game in the price range you suggested.

Based on the answers from above I would suggest that you go with....
*An iron that has a medium to large top line
*medium to large face size
*a fair amount of offset
*low center of gravity
*A shaft thats going to give you a medium launch combined with the low gravity of the head you should get a med/high launch with med spin rate.

The Irons I would recommend are....
Black Shark MX-7's
Black Shark MX
Bang SF Series

The Shaft I would recommend....
Is the Standard AccuFLEX Tempered Stepsteel

All of these combo's should keep you under $215.00 (including your choice of grip)

As far as putter its really hard to judge what a golfer really needs or what works best for him. I really like the set up of the V-Series but the BOM Putter we have on the new site coming has gotten some rave reviews. Your choice of Straight Shaft or Center Shaft for offset or face balance. With your GR discount the price would be $89.00. (Putter is availible for purchase)

Let me know if you have anymore questions....

I don't know if it's right to do this in this thread but I am selling some Ben Hogan Apex Plus irons with stiff shafts. Here is the ebay item number: 7239207457. The grips are set a bit strong so I could draw the ball. I hardly ever sliced with these clubs.

VJ,

I am sure your a good guy but would you think that it would be ok for me to post about SMT products in the Innovex Forum. Please post your sales in the Flea Market like others do.

If you would like my help in helping you sell your irons then send me an email of the specs and I will see if anyone around here is interested.

Sorry about that. I didn't know this was a store forum. I get in here through yahoo and I just respond. I thought that this was just a general forum. If you can remove my last post, please do. Once again, my apologies.
