Ok now that this is over and done with it and every one has their prizes. I am not even saying mine was good, I just put one in so there is no sour grapes here. but does anyone else think we got took for suckers with the first prize going to a guy who joins during the contest, who was told by someone from CGS about the prize and mysteriously wins. And he got in his last slogans hours before the contest was stopped by bang. No post since he won either. Maybe its just type of person I am, but I am sceptical.
Um, I haven't gotten my prize yet! Hopefully it will be here this week.
Too bad Christian left Custom Golf Sales just as the contest was ended. Maybe he could have answered some of your questions.
Nice post ! For the record I don't personally know either of the 2 winners. I picked one and Christain picked one.
I give away $25,000.00 a year in FREE products thru contest like this or to Long Drivers across the country. 1 or 2 more heads don't mean much in the big picture but your accusation that this contest was fixed does.
I suggest next time you take some advise a friend told me once before I push the submit button. Count to 10 and think about it.
wow man, pretty defensive from my post. But that is fine if two measly heads don't mean much to you. I will just take my money elseware in the future. (wait I already did) And when I hear someone asking about bang golf heads, I will be sure to say stay away.
Now lets see here I say I am sceptical, then you say I should count to 10 and think before I type. Last I checked I still live in America, where we have freedom of speech and freedom of choice on what to buy with our money.
Look at it from a normal persons view, if he is encouraged by one of the people picking the winners to join and enter the contest, and then wins when there is an estimated 250-300 slogans and this guy wins, and also got in his last one right before the contest was ended. would that not make you sceptical if you were on the outside looking in.
I am not sure how to respond to these wild, unfounded accusations.
One by one I suppose:
1) I have not yet received my Storm driver. I have emailed Kenny.
2) I am a long time member of several forums and Christian tried to get new members to sign up for this forum. I checked it out and joined. Nautrally I noticed the contest and offered my suggestions. Maybe they liked one.
3) Oh...I did post after the contest and thanked our sponsor Bang.
Anything else? For the record, I don't know what slogan won or who picked it. Amazing.....

I don't get a chance to post as much as I'd like, but try to.
I was directed to this forum and encouraged to participate.
Just got lucky I think. I have never met Christian or Kenny and
have NO affiliation except being a customer from time to time.
Hey, I don't know why there is so much controversy.
1- not fixed - most likely - we got to think up some imaginative metaphors and perhaps some bad puns. Our buddies are no doubt tired of our old ones so I welcome a new audience.
2 - fixed - not likely - coincidences happen. Usually material submitted early are laugh once items. In fact most of the material I saw (including my own) are designed to get attention to the product but not detract from the message (we will laugh at the ad but only buy a product if its quality impresses us). As a result, the contest judges would on the average like the last, fresher entries more.
Bang guys
thanks for being brave enough to face the maddening crowd of prideful golfers.
I read in the Golf Illustrated driver review that it is hard to find a bad driver on the market these days. The technology has gotten to a point where every company has a quality product to offer. Bang received some words of praise from them. I am try before you buy guy so until I swing something to beat my driver I am staying pat. Losing one contest will not sway me or discourage from trying on of their drivers.
Not winning will not stop me from entering another contest where the cost to me is nill.
Good luck to the winners. I am interested as to how they perform.
If it was fixed, no one told me. I didn't submit anything in advance of joining the forum and just took by best shot at what I thought Bang might want.
And....you will definitely hear how the Storm performs from my point of view -the virtues and the flaws. I would imagine Bang would appreciate the honest feedback.
I too have lost way more contests than I have won. Everyone has but not everyone reacts the same way. I just thank Bang for stepping up to the plate.

Nice post , but if you are implying the only reason I posted was because of not winning you are mistaken. yea I would of liked to of won a bang driver to try out, but there was over a 100 in there by the time I thought of something else and most were all the same. Now it could be a coincidence and I will not apologize for anything, because I never accused anything of obvious fraud on us, I just questioned, plus I am just saying I am sceptical. Just the way I feel about the contest.

viper1314, please don't think I was singling you out. Your concern was valid or I would not have given it the "snicker test". I was mostly using the forum to express my usually ignored opinions.
I took both sides seriously and responded with my conclusions. I look forward to reading yours and others insights. This is one of the best forums I have joined.
I would like to make a few things clear. First is that I don't work for Custom Golf Sales anymore but they are a very respectable company and when I worked there I did my best to offer gifts as much as possible.
While CGS has been on this forum for alittle less then a year we have given away..
Infiniti Propulsion Driver built with AccuFLEX shaft $250
$50 Gift Certificate
$40 Gift Certificate
$40 Gift Certificate
SMT Avocet with AccuLAUNCH Hybrid $110
Infiniti Propulsion XS Fairway wood with AccuLAUNCH 80 shaft $140
Infiniti Hot Shot XS Hybrid with Icon FH shaft $140
and then we talk Bang into coming on here and running yet another contest for the masses....
I am alittle confused and frustrated at the claims that somehow this was infact set up...
In less then a year CGS has given over $1,000 to Golf Rewind and has expected nothing in return. What comes back isn't a Thank You but a response suggesting we set up the contest. If I wanted to give 7Champ a head or shaft I would have done so without consulting anyone here.... Simple as that....
Kenny... I hope to see the new slogan's soon... I wish Bang well in Nevada.
