Wanted to play a few rounds with it before I wrote a review. I was recently able to play a round as a single on my home course with no one infront and no one behind me (105* temps has a tendency to keep people at home I guess) so I had time to experiment. I played using my current driver (TM r7 Quad Neutral setting 10.5* stiff R.A.S. shaft) and played the Callaway FT-3 N 11* stiff NVS shaft. First hole (into a 10mph HOT wind)hit the TM 255yds with a slight draw and a medium ball flight and a runout of about 10 yards or so. Hit the FT-3 with a nice high ballflight and carried 260 with a rollout of about 6-8 yards. All day with the exception of 1 hole where I mishit the FT-3 (and was still within 10 yards of the TM) I consistently hit the FT-3 straighter and farther than the TM. Also have noticed that the FT-3 is considerably more forgiving (prob has a lot to do with the fact of the cc difference) on off-center hits and provides a lot feedback on mishits. To me, this club will stay in the bag for a while, and I really like the feeling of the NVS shaft (I have a smoother swing and prefer the high torque shafts). I've gained distance, gotten more forgiveness, and actually find the sound of the club appealing so to me it's a winner.
