I took the F-speed to the range last night with my spare 6i (DG lite R300) and tried to really work on my tempo (softed shaft than my last driver). I was still having a few issues with the 6i (will pick up on this in golf tips), but the 7 shots I hit with the F-speed were - 1st: about 10-15yds left, 2nd,3rd,4th: straight ie +/-5yds, 5th: 5-10yds right, 6th & 7th straight ie +/-5yds. It has a fantastic tradjectory (mid but climbing) and the ball just hangs in the air. They were dropping around the 240-250 mark, but it felt so easy and effortless. For my first 7 shots I cannot be more happy.
Getting fitted on the launch monitor has made such a difference, I highly recommend it.
I went to a Cobra demo day yesterday and had the opportunity to hit both the X-Speed 9.5 S and the F-Speed 9.0 S. The x-speed had a tendency to slice slightly, but this is b/c my hands are slightly behind my hips (something I've been working on). With the f-speed the ball went straight and far. These drivers are extremely easy to hit due to the large face.
My swing speed was about 112 and was hitting about 285-290. Although I've produced these result with other drivers I felt like I could do it more consistently with one of these drivers.
Now I'm left with the decision of which driver to purchase. The slightly closed face on the f-speed corrects my natural tendency to hit a slight slice. However, I feel like I should get the x-speed and learn to swing better. Either way I will post my opinion after I get one in the next couple weeks.
My opinion of the Fspeed has changed of late...the closed face that initally had straightened out my drives and given a nice little draw now has me in fits with alignment issues and pull hooks...I try to open the face slightly and I lose all control...the only way I can hit consistently is by setting up closed and hitting a straight pull...it could be me, but I am hitting everything else better than I ever have...

It's not you, they have a slight closed face.
Your review has helped me make a decision...X-Speed here I come
If you are hitting a draw I highly recommend the X, it should straighten things out for you!

Cheers...but if everything works out like I properly hinted, I will be getting a 905r for my birthday in a couple of days that I recently demoed and fell in love with...hmmm, maybe I should leave this screen up on the computer....
The FSpeed is the real deal, it is impossible to slice. Every now and then I may hit a push, but that is because I've got the ball position too far back and I'm using a too fast tempo than what I should.
I instantly went from hitting 210-220 shots with an Adams redline to hitting 280+. The clubhead allows for a much faster speed, and the ball just shoots off the face.
If you've got some sense of fundamentals, instead of just swinging with many flaws and hitting poor shots, you can buy a better game with this club.
I am still using mine and having no real problems. Hit a great drive on the 9th yesterday to the centre of the fairway with only 140 left to the pin. The scorecard says 394 from the mens so 250yd drive in the cold & heavy air conditions yesterday is pretty good in my book.
I find that I need to line up the two little dots right at the top of the club face rather than using the top line. The face looks a little distorted in some way, but it works for me.
I too have been putting up 250 ish drives in the cooler weather we have been getting around here. New drivers have come out but I am well pleased with my F Speed. Not even interested in another driver. Even the FS9.
I have the X-Speed and LOVE IT. I have been hitting 300+ drives a couple times per round and increased avg. drives to 280. I have actually slowed my swing speed down for this club. I feel that it rewards a slower more controlled speed, which makes it easy to hit.
At the driving range the other day I was driving them past the property line. The owner came out and was watching me hit them. I asked him how far it was to the end of the property, he said 305. With range balls thats not bad.
You can not go wrong with this driver. My wife went with me to play golf for the first time in her life and she was killing the ball with this driver.
Well we are all human. On the range on Sunday I hit the worst shots that I have hit with this driver. Still hit it long but some fade/slices and a low hook too.
Obviously its not the club. My swing felt odd and this goes to prove it wasnt working very well, my iron shots were not much better. Just need to work on my swing (again ), it wont stop me pulling it out of the bag for the competition at the weekend though as its 9 holes stableford.
I ran across something here a while back that I haven't saw before. Has anyone saw a XXspeed? I have never saw a xx. I figured it may be some kind of tour model that I have never noticed.

Yes, I have seen it and I have hit one before. A golf buddy of mine has the exact same driver as me, but he has the XX shaft. It's for the guys that need a super stiff shaft.
I've actually been considering putting that shaft on my driver.
