I hit one today, only into a net mind you. It seemed pretty nice with the aldila NV option (didnt like the fuji at all) and if you believe the numbers, it would gain me a few yards ahead of my current 983K titleist and absolutely miles longer than the ridiculously high spinning stock nike SQ.

i'll bet if you took the sq and installed a better performing, mid to high kick shaft, you'd see a completely different result.

I bet you are right, but I cant actually test it which is a bit of a concern. In any case, that goes to prove that the shaft is the most important component, in which case, as long as I have a suitable shaft, the difference between heads will be minimal.
This driver is truly awesome. Callaway has done it again. I just played today and gained about 10-20 yds (220 avg. drive up from 190-200) and missed very few fairways. I hit one right on the toe of the driver and it still carried 180 yds. in the fairway. VERY VERY forgiving
Had some time this morning, but not enough for a round (daughter #1 birthday party), so went to the driving range. I am not a far hitter at all, have averaged probably 225 in the past.
The range I go to has woods at the end of the range, at the 250 sign. Decided to play 'how hard can I hit it' since I wasn't on the course. Sliced probably 33% of my swings since I was just trying to get power behind it, but the 66% I didn't - was putting them into the woods, past the 250 yard sign, hitting them 3/4's of the way up on the trees. Man! Other people there were noticing, which was pretty cool too
I LIKE this driver...waaaayy farther than my Cleveland OS 410 I had. And even better since I won it
i have used them all, FT-3, X460, SQ, HiBore, R7 425 and 460, R5, 905R, 905T, 983K, and the X460 just stood out from them all. I gained atleast 40 yards the first day i hit it (after i got the right specs wtih teh regular head not the Tour, and teh light flex shaft and 11*) and it was night and day compared to my old duck hook that went 180 yards. I now hit it atleast 245 with a slight fade because i think the shaft is becoming a little more light than i need so i might get it reshafted with a fuji tour platform or buy an R5 dual TP which was 2nd in line... (seeing that they are also 250 on ebay now!) I will hit my driver for a few more months until i increase swingspeed but for now it is reliable and long...
I demoed a tour version with a stiff tour platform shaft...accurate but about 15 yards shorter than my TM 540xd with steel shaft...I was hitting right on the sweet spot with a swing that was working well that day, and it was a US outlawed hi cor japanese model...dissapointed, but it was quite straight...
one thing that i though was wierd though was that the 9.5* X tour 460 with a stiff fuji tour platform carried less but had a MUCH higher trajectory than mine...
I am actually getting one with an Aldila NV. I swung in the other day and it felt really good. I think I like the Fusion better but the X is 100 bucks cheaper.
Hit my buddies demo with the Aldila NVS stiff and it carried a LONG way, couldn't see them roll out cuz it carried over the hill lol but it felt great and im sold so i called our Callaway Rep and he's ordering the driver in the tour model and the 13* tour 3w

Can't wait
Changed my order to the 15* tour, and the driver I got cut down to 44 1/2"
