I really like this driver. With the NV I got in it, it fits me much better. There is no doubt that I am more consistent with it and I am getting much more distance out of it than with my other driver. It comes off the face very hot. However, it is EXTREMELY loud and very tingy sounding(Does that make sense?).

Finally got mine (X460 Tour 9.5) and went to the range. LOVE it. Ordered mine with the NV-65 X and had it cut down to 44".

Easy to hit. Easy to work the ball. Even better that its cut down.

A+ for this driver. Can't wait to get on the course with it.

I used to have the Taylormade 580XD and I upgraded to the Callaway X460. I get about 10-15 yards more distance with the x460 with a aldila nv shaft.
The only complaint I have with this driver is that it's too loud when you hit it.
I know some people like the sound but I find it distracting.

I have one, but off the shelf. I'm saddened that after I bought mine, I find out that Golf Galaxy just got the X460 driver heads in on their Callaway system...you know, the cart that has drawers full of various driver heads (originally only the Fusion FT-3, now also the X460) in different loft angles and neutral/fade/draw, along with about 20 different shafts and they can rachet them off/on and switch them. You can sign up for the computer analysis (Vector system) for $29 and they'll find what head/shaft combination works best for your hitting style. We did that with my son and he improved 20-30 yrd...I used to beat him in drives about 3 of 10drives, tie in about 4 others, and remaining 3 he'd beat me by a few feet. After he got the new setup, he beats me EVERY TIME BY 20 yrds!! I will get analyzed on that system for my next driver, for sure.

Re: Callaway X460 Driver Review

I have the Tour model 9.5 degree with a fuji stiff shaft, I love this driver it has great feel and a great sound through impact. It hits the ball high, long, and straight.

The only problem I have had with it is that I snapped the shaft the other day, it was only the third time using it. However, this was a used club bought on eBay so it was likely a year old. BUT... Callaway has awesome customer service which is worth buying the club for alone, the are replacing the shaft with no cost to me (not even shipping) with NO questions asked. (Didn't even ask where I bought it or for proof of purchase)

Re: Callaway X460 Driver Review

well I finally got my X460 ordered the other day! I got fit for it at Golf Galaxy on the callaway optifit system and I love it. I can't wait for it to come in and take it out on the course for a real test drive. On the monitor I was getting a carry of 250, with great launch angle and spin.
