how is this club is it any good does anybody know has anybody tried it yet
and how is the other clubs in the series like the irons and the fairway metal
Is it just me or has ping made a driver uglier then the sasquatch. I'm sure that it is a big hitter, but I don't think I could siwng it becuz it lloks like a turtles shell. Also I have a friend lookign to upgrade form his G2. He is a good player what do you suggest?
I had the opportunity to test one about a week ago because of some connections with Ping.
Sounds like a titanium driver, good distance and launch angle. Nice feel overall. Pretty long and straight. The shaft is a bit long IMO. 45.75" I believe (just like the G5). A nice driver all-around.
But is it worth the hefty price-tag...I'm not sure about that.
I got a preview of it about 3 weeks ago before it came out. It's awesome. Carbon head, but sounds like titanium. Quite long, pretty straight. Nice looking driver. Good feel and set up.
I like it a lot. A tad on the expensive side though.
i tried it out but felt it was too light. I hit the G5 now and the first was a decent shot at about 240 (decent for me) and after that i couldnt get anything. I think it could be good but you have get used to the light head. And yeah they want a lot for it.
^^^ EXPENSIVE THING, the irons feel just like I5's and the Driver doesnt compare to my Nike, i just went for fun to try it out, irons are ok, driver is real nice and expensive

I hit the driver last week and was impressed. Told a friend about it who bought one and couldn't stop talking about it. I've got an FT-3 that really has been working for me with low ball spin (swing speed 114). Today I bought the Rapture driver with a nv-blue shaft...9 degree loft. It's going iin the bag, lower ball flight and significantly longer than the FT-3 tour 9.5 NV gold shaft.
If you are looking for a driver that has low spin and is long give this one a try. The NV Blue shaft works well for the 105mph plus swings. Below that you might want to try the gold NV.
Played a round with the Rapture, 10.5, stiff 909D shaft. The ball trajectory was a bit too high, but the distance was excellent - averaged about 240 on a cold (40 degs), wet day. Not too bad for a guy 65 with a tricky back. Nine of ten drives were in the fairway, which is excellent for me. Didn't have a single fade/slice. It feels and sounds good. I would like to try the Aldila VS Proto (blue) shaft - might give me a lower trajectory.

9 out of 10 fairways is excellent for anyone. If you get that kind of accuracy and length, I wouldn't change a thing.
im coming from the G2 8.5* with the tfc stiff shaft. ive only played 36 holes with it so this wont be an accurate review but it is longer then my G2 and alot more forgiving. surprisingly the trajectory is alot lower then my G2. Im anxious for the warm weather and dry fairways, this driver will be lethal.
Well ive got to play with this driver for a while now and i love it. The sound is the best of any carbon composite driver ive heard, its like a muted titanium driver. The trajectory is about the same as my g2 now, i just had to get used to the loft and new shaft. this driver puts less spin on the ball so its more accurate and it is longer then the g2. If your in the market give the Rapture a try.
I like mine! Alot.... I think the Proto VS is a good match with me and this club.
There are a lot of good clubs out there, and I'd probably be happy with most of them.... I happen to like the looks of the Rapture at setup, and feeling confident is a big plus on how well you hit...
