I tried so many drivers this year in the quest for perfection. (I'm an incurable golf club junkie).. I bought the Ping G5, Callaway FT-3 tour, Mizuno MX-500, Nike Sasquatch, Tour Edge Exotics. (just to name a few)
The driver I'm using now is without a doubt WAY better than any of the above. (at least for me) It's an Alpha Reaction 9 degree 400cc driver with a 47" Graffaloy Prolaunch Blue stiff shaft.
I bought it on a whim on ebay for $60. (what a joke - to find a driver this good for $60)
When I first took it out on the course, I found myself emailing bunkers that I hadn't cleared all year. And the best thing is, I hit this darn thing almost dead straight every time.
I play golf almost every day, and I've hit this club with amazing consistency now for almost two months.
This is one amazing club. I see Alpha has some newer versions - the V2, the C830 2 and the newest V5. I may have to try one of those next year.
I don't see much need to mess around with the big boys' drivers anymore.
Oh, one word of caution - I looked on the USGA non-conforming list, and it appears that the 10.5 degree Alpha Reaction 400 is non-conforming. (it's under Kent Sports)..
For some reason that's hard to believe lol but let me explain. I play golf 3 times a week and shoot par close to a regular basis. I have hit most of the clubs on your list. Your hitting it straighter because it's only 400cc which means you tee it up lower thus making the shots go straighter. Because it is 400cc the MOI isn't going to be as high as those other drivers. All the other drivers you listed are great but I am not a big fan of anything under 460cc

I ditto that..but Alpha definently has some NICE drivers..I especially like the c830.2, and the V5, however I still prefer my Krank! If the head was a bit bigger, I would buy one for schitz-n-giggles!
How are those Kranks, I've seen them on ebay but haven't ever heard anything about them
Let me put it this way...If you take this on a course, please allow the party ahead of you, to move at least 360 yrds away, before teeing off, because you have a good chance of hitting someone...It will outdrive, any driver I have ever seen, or hit, and I have hit a lot of drivers! They hit with perfect accuracy. Plus, the customer satisfaction, is unmatched. I dented the heel on one, and they told me to send it back, and they'd replace it, for FREE!! I only had to pay $5, for shipping, and they fixed it! This is the only driver I have ever hit in 15 mph crosswinds, that didn't fade.
Buy it for $200, and you get a free wood, which BTW, the 3 wood hits as far as most drivers made today. I have one, I know. I hit this as far as my old BB 454 driver! Buy it, you won't regret it, and you WILL NEVER buy another driver again.

I agree with 300yds. I have a Krank RHCP driver and love it. Im not sure but I think I've gained at least 10-20 yards coming from my Callayway GBB II 415cc.
Its a pretty sweet driver for the price IMO. Unless I miss hit it very badly it usually flies pretty long and straight.

I knew I wasn't alone!! I think everyone should try one...if they do, their old drivers will be thrown in the trash, I'm afraid..great driver ...I was skeptical...but then on my first drive, I was just blown away. It isn't really surprising..if you look at the driver, you realize it's built perfect for LD! I hit this driver at my home course, on a Par 4 380 yrds. I had 10 MPH crosswinds, and an unforgiving situation: It I hit it right, I go in the lake , if I hit it left, I land in some guys property ..the fairway is 50 feet across, with literally no room for error . So what do I do? I bombed it!! And watched as my ball cleared the small creek 270 yrds away, and landed 40 yrds short of the green, dead where I was aiming, no fade .... try that with a Callaway!!
Do you have a wood?? If so, what do you think?? I am just so **** impressed with the 3 wood I got! It might as well be a driver, as long as it is...

Yep, I have the 3 wood also. It definitely bombs off the deck on the par 5's. I rarely (never?) use it off the tee because I have so much confidence standing over that 460cc head of the driver.
Im not the biggest hitter but im prob avg 260 with the driver and 230 with the 3-wood. Every once in a while ill catch a bomb with the driver up to around 280. And I did hit one 330 (yes 330) with a 20+mph tailwind and a rock hard fairway
These are true measurements using my Skycaddie GPS. That darn sckycaddie can be pretty humbling sometimes.

I find myself using it more than the driver!!! On those shots were you have no fairway to work with, it is an awesome accurate club! What surprises me is how easy it is to hit. You just swing, and don't think about it. I've actually taken shots with these clubs, and not even look where the teeshot went, then when I get to the green, I find my ball sitting there! Oh, how nice it is....
I am the very model of a major modern general....sorry, random thought.
1. What the **** is Krank.
2. Why don't I have one.
Okay - I looked at the website. They're RED. They may be good, but THEY"RE RED.
Hmm. I think I'll wait for further reports. If I bought a new driver every time I read a good review - well, Okay, I HAVE.
But, I'm trying to cut back.
No Krank for me today.
But, I have found a driver I like better than the Alpha that I originally posted on here. It's a Bang Bangster OL 430 CC with a Harrison Mugen stiff shaft. Pretty fine weapon.
