HUGE sweet spot. Very long and straight. Nearly impossible to hook. Most forgiving driver head I've ever hit. Not for someone who likes to work the ball, just wants to go straight. I have the Aldila Grid Spec 67 R in it now. I think I need something with a stiffer tip and higher kickpoint to bring ball flight down a little. Want to stay with R flex if possible, maybe a NV or V2 in R could do the trick.
Can't see anything kicking it out of the bag anytime soon.
I'm 57 and play to an 11 handicap. I never thought anything would get me away from my Hi Bore, but the D1 proved itself in the first few swings. It's long and straight, and contrary to the other post, I find I can still move the ball around as needed, it just takes more work due to the size of the head. When hit in the screws, this thing is described as "explosive", and I certainly agree. I've had Nike, Taylormade, Cleveland, etc. and none compared to this cannon.
AWESOME!!!!! Being in the Golf Business I can play any driver I want. After hitting the Titleist D1 the last few months, I honestly believe it is the BEST DRIVER I have ever played and/or sold. If your in the market for a new driver, or just want to see what the MOI craze is all about. Head to your local shop/course/driving range and give it a try.
i dont know this driver has not been real popular around where i'm from and in most places, i dont think one titleist tour player is playing one, the D2 is MUCH better IMO but I've hit it, I dont like it because the driver is totally unworkable and that shape gets annoying
I just played with my first round with mine. I have played several drivers this summer trying to find one I like the best. The 907 D1 is it. I like the easy setup,it seems easy to get a nice square hit (much like the TM Burner) however the ball seems to just jump off the club face the best for me with the D1. It has a nice solid heft to the head and make a nice sound at impact. I found it easy to control, and a couple of bad shots turned out more then ok in the end. I recommend anyone who is looking for a driver to at least give it a try.
