Bridgestone J33R Review
I remember way back writing a review of this driver, so here it goes again.
I love the traditional look and feel of the Bridgestone J33R driver. It is 420cc (latest version is 460cc), but yet does not look that big. I think people who generally like Titleist drivers will also like the looks of this driver.
The sound of the driver is solid. The rubber component in the driver head may have some impact, but the driver does not produce a loud bang.
I buy equipment for performance. I was generally producing more backspin (4000) on my drives than I should in the launch monitor. The combination of this driver head with the shaft has clearly added straightness and distance from my previous drivers. I have tried many in the last few years and none perform better for my swing.
Lastly, I believe Bridgestone and other manufacturers are generally ignored by the "masses". This is a good thing in price. You can always find this driver on eBay for a lot cheaper than comparable clubs from callaway, taylor made, nike, and titleist.
I'd recommend this club to anyone that wants to be more consistent and produce a more penetrating ball flight. The price is great and just make sure you get a shaft that complements the golf head. I have an Aldila NV 65 that was fitted for me and this is usually one of the options with this club.
