Just came back from my first range session with my new TM Burner driver. It's a 10.5* loft, stock REAX shaft measures to about 45.5" in length.
Me: age 62, hcp 22 SS is about 88 mph.
The first thing you notice about this driver is how light it is, but in spite of the light weight, you can feel where the head is at all times in your takeaway. This club is very easy to swing and yet you don't get any sensation that you are not playing within yourself. I was playing a TM 580XD, and liked it very much, but the stiff tip of the shaft would not let me fully load the shaft with my lousey SS.
This 50 gm shaft is a bit more flexible than the 580's and i can fully load it. I'm getting a bit higher ball flight with this club, but it' s not ballooning. First 3-4 drives were slight pulls until I moved the ball back in my stance about 2", then straight , some with a little tailing fade. Straight or a slight fade is my usual ball pattern. The sound is good, somewhat muted. I like choking down on the grip, so as to play at 45", bit less dispersion. The FA is definitely closed , looks like about 1*, even on bad swings, I could not hit a slice. First play will be MOnday, but, after one session, I'm very, very, pleased with this club.

How much carry distance do you get? Is this Regular shaft?
The Burner V1.0 driver is incredible. By lightening the club head and shaft, you get a extended shaft on your driver to about 46 inches for the non TP version and 45.5 for the TP version. The club sets up very nicely with a square to a 1-2 degree open club face on the TP. My swing speed is 104 mph and i average about 280-300 off the tee with my old R7 Quad. With the Burner, I'm seeing my drives with 5-10 more yards.
I will be testing out the new Tour Burner driver this week and will write a review for you guys afterwards.
Personally, I think Taylor Made needs to develop some more drivers. I just checked their website and they only have 9 models available. Buner, Burner Draw, Burner TP, Tour Burner, Tour Burner TP, r7 Draw, r7 Superquad, r7 Superquad TP, and r7 CGB Max. If they just came out with a r7 Tour Burner Superquad Draw TP CGB Max model, they'd have all the bases covered.

Hahaha.
I'm looking into a Burner actually right now. Currently cannot hit my driver worth a ****, hoping a new driver may give me more confidence.

The r7 Draw, r7 Superquad, r7 Superquad TP are now being phased out, so they'll be down to 6 models soon.
NOT!!! They'll probably replace those 3 with 5 new models, so next year this time there will be 11 models to choose from.
