I just picked one up, I got the 10.5 * with the v2 stiff shaft. I had it regripped with a midsize grip and ready to hit the range tomorrow with it. I traded in my Cleveland HIbore XL for it.

Just wondering how many others are out there, and what you think so far.

i've been curious, but haven't hit it yet. post your thoughts once you try it out.

When i looked at the g10 it seemed to have a closed face, it wasnt a draw model, i do not like a closed face. My trouble shot is a hook. Let us know how this driver does.

I don't believe its closed and also the guy at golfsmith told me it wasn't. I am the same as you, thats why I traded my Hibore xl in for it, the 3* closed face was killing me.

Well played my round with it yesterday, and I like it at address, and it very easy to hit. Not sure if I like the v2 shaft or not, it seems to have a really high launch angle.

Need some more range time and I have a leson Tuesday, so will update after a bit more time.

I think if you have a rapture or a g5, you wont notice a great deal of increased performance that would warrant an upgrade.

The stock V2 shaft is the HL (high launch). There's also a PING proprietary shaft available or the Grafalloy ProLaunch Red (low launch).

I played with a guy who had a G10 this past Saturday. He traded in his FT-i for it. In comparason to the G5, it's larger from address, but shallower from sole to crown. It sounds louder than the G5, but nothing like the composite drivers.

IMO, like Merlin said, it's just another new titanium driver that'll hit the ball just as far as all the titanium drivers from the past 4 or 5 years. The only real change is a little boost in MOI for more forgiveness, but that usually creates a lower COG and thus a higher ballflight.

I have had every Ping driver for the last 8 years. G2 is still my favorite at this point, but G10 is nice. Better feel than my G2. Some reviews I have read say its louder - I did not notice a sound difference. Seems to be more foregiving overall. When hit well seems to be maybe 5 yards longer than the G2....maybe. Its staying in my bag for now with the G2 staying in the trunk just in case. I also have a Rapture I played a few rounds with. The Rapture feels heavier than the G10.

Overall a thumbs up. I have yet to find another driver by other makers I like better than the Ping line-up. I am glad they are keeping the normal looking head and not going square.

FWIW - I have the Red shaft, stiff. I like the ball flight with this driver. My G2 had the TFC 100.

I just bought thw G10 and played one round. My longest driver ever. 290 was the longest i hit most ranged around 275. I traded in my superquad for it and couldnt be happier. I don know if the longer shaft is helping me or not. I may get it cut to 45 inches. It is stock 45.75 inches.
