I was wandering what people think of the Cleveland Hi-bore XLS.

I was playing the Hybore. Switched to the XL and it was junk. Tryed the XLS and same thing as XL. Culdnt hit one straight, draw or fade to save my life. SO back to my TM Superquad. 290+ down the middle everytime

Re: Cleveland Hi-bore XLS

I've had the opposite happen to me... i just started hitting an XLS this past weekend and I love it(coming from Callaway). I hit it straight... I can also draw it or fade it. I think it's a great club.

The Hi Bore is not a fade club anymore than the FT-i, FT-5, G10, Superquad or whatever you might swing. It is probably the shaft not being in tune with your swing. I actually draw the Hi Bore XL with just a small grip change. I have the UST V2 stiff shaft on my HiBore XL rather than the Red/Gold standard shaft. Every shaft is right for someone, it just might not fit your swing characteristics.

Focus on getting the right shaft for your driver and the rest is easy. I cannot emphasize enough, get fitted by someone independent (not tied to a specific brand) and explain what you think you need to improve your driving at your home course and then let the good times roll after being evaluated. Add the right ball to the mix and it would be the easiest 10 - 20 yards you will ever find.

Re: Cleveland Hi-bore XLS

I started with the Hibore and last year moved to the Hibore XL. I love the feel of the XL. It is not as harsh feeling as the Hibore. I have no problem hitting it straight.
