Golf In Spain

If you were going to travel to Spain to play golf where would you get help to choose where to go?

Would you use a website and if so which one or ones?
Would you go to your local travel agent?
Would you go on a friend's recommendation?
Would you ask on a forum like this?

I'm asking cos I was asked the question by somebody who has an apartment in Spain and wants to attract golfers.

I simply searched using Google but are there any sites that people would recommend or have used etc.?

Re: Golf In Spain

Hi there I have added answers below for you.

If you were going to travel to Spain to play golf where would you get help to choose where to go? Costa Del Sol has the nickname Costa del Golf there are around 120 golf courses there.

Would you use a website and if so which one or ones? Online Golfer has reviews of some courses down there.
Would you go to your local travel agent? Golf Service are local down here and have some fantastic deals for booking.
Would you go on a friend's recommendation? It is some of the best golf in Europe if they agree yes.
Would you ask on a forum like this? Of course people are the best advert.

I'm asking cos I was asked the question by somebody who has an apartment in Spain and wants to attract golfers.

I simply searched using Google but are there any sites that people would recommend or have used etc.? Might be worth an email to someone like Golf Service to see if they would be able to help them out.

Hope this helps?

Re: Golf In Spain

Hi,

I think the best is dealing with a golf tour operator like Marbella Concept golf holidays.
They are based on the Costa del Sol, and Patrizia Vercruyce, the director really know her job. She plays 7 handicap.. better than me... 9 and it is hard to find other woman that play as single handicap, that have played all golf course of the costa del sol to be able to recommend you the best that would suit you and being in Spain helps a lot as when you have a problem, the golf tour operator is there to help.

A few month ago, we used marbella concept for your yearly golf tour of 40 people to Spain and the year before we also used Patrizia Vercruyce services for our golf tour in Portugal.

We had a private coach with a quite included in the price and played Valderrama, Sotogrande golf, San roque old course, la reserva de sotogrande, almenara and los narangos. All these course were recommended to her to be the best to be played on the Costa del sol to make our trip to Europe to make a lot of sens.

I highly recommend you to contact her on your next holiday to marbella area through Golf Holidays Costa del Sol - Marbella Concept and Patrizia never have any problem in answer all stupid questions we usually have ... she always answer.

When you got there, we asked her restaurant recommendation for a good meet in puarto banus and we invited her to come with us as she was very nice lady. Tango was the name.

If you need any information you can send me e-mails,and I will tell you what I know but you can anyway look on theri About us page for more infos Golf Package Holidays - Marbella Concept

Enjoy your next holiday,

Maila
