I recently purchased the 5 wood. I like how it sets up and it is easy to get the ball in the air. Since the face is a tad deeper it works well off the tee as well. I also like the fact that it is 42-inches long and not 43-inches like a lot of other manufacturers. The shaft is a "tweaked" Aldila NVS, to quote the customer service rep at Callaway.

If you are in the market for a fairway wood, I would give this one a look

I returned mine after 2 weeks.( 3 and 5 Wood )I remembered why some fairway woods have swallower faces.
I couldn't consistanly hit these off the deck and hit way too many worm burners. I exchanged them for Adams RPM low profile and couldn't be happier. They also hit well from the tee box with a very low tee.

I tried this club at a demo day, i could hit it quite solidly but i kept popping up with the odd sally gunnell (ugly but it runs). I didn't like the size of the head or face and felt it was more for a high handicapper who was looking for something to hit of the tee before they got a driver. The X range were far superior and i ended up with the nike SQ 2.

I have the 5 wood also and I love it. I can hit it equally well off the tee or from the fairway. I like the bigger head for out of the rough. I am now considering either the Callaway X hot or BB 07 in a 3 wood.
