Adams Insight Fairway Wood

My decision to purchase a Adams driver was helped along with the fact that Adam's is giving a free fairway wood with the purchase, and that both the driver and wood were rated silver and gold respectively by Golf Digest this year. I used the regular flex 5 wood in a round the day following the driver purchase at Golf Galaxy and I was totally impressed. Nice clean hits, straight, and it felt as forgiving as one of my hybrids. I'm going to replace my 4 hybrid with it and look for a good deal on a 7 and possibly a 3. I think Adam's hit a home run with this wood and Golf Digest was right on.

Re: Adams Insight Fairway Wood

I like it, OK. Don't like the shallow face. Hot though...I just picked up a BUL 3 wood in a trade with a R-flex shaft. Never have had good results with a reg. shaft. Played with it twice so far and have had good results. Very long, and so far the R-flex shaft hasn't been a problem. I like the depth of the head, just wish it was, heel to toe, like the MacTec. Then I've only played with the MacTec twice also. I think the MT would be easier to "skymark" out of the rough because of the shallow face. Both are Very long. So far the BUL wins. Wouldn't mind trying a Stiff in it though.
