Has anyone tried this fairway wood? Would like to buy it but don't have where to test it here down south.

I really enjoy hitting this club...easy off the tee, larger head highly recommend!!

I like it off the tee, but I don't like it off the fairway.

What aspect don't you like off the fairway? It looks like the standard callaway sole plate.

It's not...it is big first off, and alot broader than either the warbird or BB 04 models...




I hit this and couldn't stand it...but I have a thing about callaway, so I would point to personal product dislike...

I played with the X Hot today and was impressed.

This club is at least 10 yards longer than any 3 wood I have ever played. I also found the trajectory of the ball pleasing to me. I would say I was within 10 yards of my driver with this 15 degree 3W.

As for difficulty to hit off the fairway, I would say that you must take a nice swing with these in the fairway. Don't try to kill it. The one thing that takes some adjustment is that the club length is 44 inches, where most 3 woods are at least 1 inch less. This may take some adjustment for some people. I felt comfortable right away.
