Orlando Course Review/Recommendations

I'm looking for assistance from those who are familiar with Orlando area courses. I'm in the process of setting up another spring golf trip for 24 diehard golfers who prefer to play mid to top shelf courses. In the past few years we have played courses such as Celebration, Championsgate, Falconsfire, Grande Pines, Harmony Preserve, Metrowest, MysticHills, Orange County National, and Southern Dunes. While these are all great tracks, and we would not hesitate to play them again, we are looking for new challenges. Picking courses out of catalogs or off websites can be difficult, and also risky. Trust me...getting yelled at by 23 other golfers because I took them to a course that was suppose to be top notch, but turned out to be a goat ranch when we arrived was no fun. So if anyone out there has experienced playing at places that they would highly recommend, my group and I would be very grateful for your assistance. Thanks!

Lets see, so far you have named alot of the top courses. Some others you might check into are, " Shingle Creek, Black Bear, Diamond Players Club, Diamondback, North Shore, Legends, Stoneybrook east or west, Disneys Eagle Pines or Osprey Ridge" There are so many. I've played most of them. If I can help you with any others, send a private message. Your golf trip sounds like alot of fun.

Sounds like a great trip...

You may want to see how far it is to Brooksville from Orlando... maybe a day trip to World Woods for 36 awesome holes. Great facility with a very impressive practice area. Your buddies with high standards will love it.

How far are you willing to drive? There's a great course in Mims called Walkabout. It's about a 45 to 60 minute ride depending on where you're staying. The address is 3230 Folsom Rd Mims (Titusville) Fl 32754, ph. 1-866-GOLF-FLA or 321-385-2099 (just happen to have a score card in front of me).

It's one of my favorites.

Another good one is Reunion. Although I'm not sure of it's status (private/semi private). I've played a couple times, last winter the course was in tip top shape. I played it again a couple weeks ago and it was still in great shape just not as pristine as the first time I played, but we had a brutal hot summer this year.
