Lefty... I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I WAS NOT THERE....I had relatives in town all week and had a couple of doctor appointments, one in Tampa, so I was NOT able to get together with you guys.....I think the fourth man in the group was somebody else...but I WAS NOT THERE....I don't think there was an impersonator, you just got me mixed up with the additional guy....I do wish I could have joined you guys, but I had to go to Tampa for my semi annual checkup, and my wife's relatives occupied TOO much of my time last week...I did not get near a golf course...sorry.

The "wb4tjh standin" was one of Mikey300's friends and bowling partners, John. Pretty good golfer, and friendly guy. But he did show some poor judgement when the tap got broken!

Glad to hear you made it home safely, Lefty. I really enjoyed playing with you - just wish my game had been a little better so we could have beaten the other guys! I agree that the course was quite challenging, probably one of the most challenging I've played in a while, with tight fairways and numerous bunkers, lateral water hazards, etc. If any of you other members visit down here, if you ask nicely maybe Mikey300 can get you on for a round as well!

P.S. Lefty, if you figure out how to lighten that picture, see if you can lighten me up by about 20 kilos!

wb4tjh,

I apologise, I was late for the meeting as the Cracker Barrell was well hidden, and I did not realise there was a substitute. When Mikey comes back he can enlighten me.

Inconsistent and I played a Ryder Cup style fourball against Mikey and John the mystery man. In true Ryder Cup tradition it went to the 18th where the left hander ******* it up. I had 150 to the green , a normal 7 iron for me. As I had n't hit a decent iron all day, and the pin was at the back, I took a six iron and , you've guessed it, flushed it. The clubhouse is close to the back of the green and I 'Tigered' the clubhouse. I skulked up to the back of the green, trying to look innocent , when a fearsome lady member came out.
'Is this your ball? '
'Yes, I'm dreadfully sorry'
'Don't worry it happens all the time'

I did not get up and down and Mike took the match and glory.

I think we may be invited back!

ok, i'm back from the cold northeast and after reading the posts, realized that there is/was some confusion. i apoligize to all.

Wb4tjh, if we would have know you were going to be there, we would have waited and all could have played, but knowing that you had family in town and appointments, and no notification, presumed that you weren't going to be there, so friday evening, ask the "mystery man" to join us.
i would have preferred for you to have been there with us.

Lefty, i could have sworn that i introduced a "freind of mine, John" to you when you arrived. but it's possible i didn't, all came about quickly, due to someone arriving late.

anyone who gets down to this area is welcome to play the course.

it did make a pretty loud "whack" also.

Lefty, aren't you leaving something out? like the hole was won with a birdie? one of two for the day, Inconsistent had the other with a beautiful chip in.

a re-match definitely is in order.

Sorry, your birdie was a fitting conclusion to the match, but in Ryder Cup tradition, the losing team concentrate on their own poor play rather than the excellent play of the winners

Sure sorry I missed all the fun, guys...it was my loss. When you live in Paradise, it seems all the relatives all at once find you irresistable and just "have" to come see you. Actually, we had a good time visiting, but none of them are golfers, so I felt mostly like a fish out of water. Maybe I can get together with you guys another time.

I have set up a wireless router at home ,where my wife and daughter have their own computers and access to the internet. I paid for the router and cards and left my daughter to set it up. Now she and her mother have access and the original machine, now designated mine as it is slow and unreliable, suddenly does not have access to the internet. The photos are at home and I can not get them on the site.

BTW will the Gallery work soon, because I was going to put them on there
